Certification levels in Applied Kinesiology

3 main levels to ensure your increasing your level of knowledge and application of manual muscle testing

Foundation Course


50 hour program that covers the basic tools in Applied Kinesiology with an emphasis on the learning and application of Manual Muscle Testing (MMT). 

This course is not mandatory to do the PAK certification. 

At the end of the Foundation course, the student will get a certificate of attendance.

Professional Applied Kinesiology (PAK) Certification

100-115 hours program that covers a broad range of concepts.

Discover the application of the structural, biochemical and emotional concepts in Applied Kinesiology. In this Certification process, the student will also learn about the stomatognathic system (cranials, TMJ) but also how to incorporate the use of acupuncture meridian in clinical practice. 

To obtain PAK status, the clinician must be graduated from his/her program (DC, MD, DO, DMD) and need to complete a written and practical exam.

Diplomate in Applied Kinesiology (DIBAK)


Minimum of 300 hours of learning in Applied Kinesiology (AK) with at least 2 different teachers.

Of these 300 hours, 100 hours must come from Advanced classes in AK.

A miniumum of 3 years of clinical practice is required to applied for Diplomate status.

2 papers must be written and submitted to the local ICAK-Chapter of the clinician.

5 written exams and a practical exams will evaluate the deep understanding of the clinician in all scope of AK.

AK accredited hours

When chossing a class to learn Applied Kinesiology, make sure that you are studying with an official Applied Kinesiology teacher who is a member of the International Educational Council (IEC) to obtain accredited AK hours from your learning. 

Some classes will not give official AK hours towards PAK, DIBAK even if taught by official teachers because the material is considered outside of the curriculum.
