Professional Applied Kinesiology (PAK) Certification

100-115 hours of training in Applied Kinesiology followed by a written and practical exam to obtain the PAK status

From Foundation course to PAK

The 50 hours from the Foundation course counts towards the PAK certification. Some teachers break down the 2 levels of certifications and others are teaching the whole PAK certification as a continuum of classes so that the concepts of the Foundation course are integrated in the PAK program.

The PAK is incorporating more structural conditions and more explanations on biochemical imbalances. In addition to these, the stomatognatic system and the acupuncture system are covered. These tools will give the clinician a global comprehension of AK in practice.

Stomatognatic system
(Cranial and TMJ)

During the PAK program, the importance of the cranium and the TMJ is addressed. What has been called descending problems is extremely important in clinical practice. Sometimes a patient can present with a low back pain but the origin can be in the stomatognatic system. This impact can be explained with: cranial and pelvis movement (dural connections), thru fascial lines or even from the autonomic nervous system.

Acupuncture meridian system

The meridian system has been part of the AK approach for a very long time. No needles are used as this is reserved for the acupuncturist.  The ability to evaluate the meridian system using MMT gives an incredible global understanding of the patient. Sometimes it allows to identify remote structural problems and in other circumstances to understand some imblalances affecting the muscles that can originate from the meridian themselves.  It is also possible to use acupuncture point stimulation to help in the control of pain. See Dr Goodheart's video on the first observation for pain control.

Where and who is teaching the PAK program

Interested in starting your learning process in AK or to move from the Foundation course to the PAK,  have a look to see if someone is teaching in your area.

Precision for students: The PAK status is only delivered after a student is fully graduated from their program (DC, MD, DO, DMD.) but the student can attend the AK classes covering the PAK material.
