Andrea Cecchi

D.C., DIBAK, ICSSD, Gonstead Diplomate, LCP

  • Dr. Andrea Cecchi is a 1998 magna cum laude NWCC graduate. In 1993 he had received a cum laude degree in physiological science from UCLA where he was a 3 times NCAA champion in 1991 and 1992 in the 100 and 200 Breaststroke.  A ten times Italian national champion and record holder in the 200 breaststroke he represented Italy in the 1992 Olympic Games. He later became the Italian National team chiropractor from the 2004 Athens Olympics to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

After an extensive training in the Chiropractic Gonstead method dr. Cecchi realized that there could be more knowledge to be learned to become a better doctor.  He was directed by Dr. Piet Seru to start his AK training under the supervision of Dr. Shafer.  This happened in 2003 and Dr. Cecchi has been studying and assisting teaching Dr. Shafer ever since.  Dr. Cecchi is very strong in the chiropractic structural evaluation of the patient and because of this ability, he came to the understanding that the metabolic side of the Health triangle is of paramount importance.  So, he trained properly and his teaching in the metabolic side is now one of his strengths.  He is the founder of the Gonstead International Academy in 2018 and he is a Barcelona Chiropractic College professor since 2021.  He is very much involved with the Italian chapter of ICAK where he holds the position of secretary and teaches 3 or 4 courses per year.
